We think all of our dogs are wonderful!  Please try not to "fall in love" with a particular dog's picture on our web site. We try very hard to match the RIGHT dog to the RIGHT home. Please trust our judgment in placing a hound with your family!

OUR DOGS WILL BE STAYING IN FOSTER HOMES UNTIL ADOPTED.  ANYONE INTERESTED, PLEASE CONTACT US

More dogs arriving soonÖ.

Alex

Poor Alec was just returned to our program. His family of a few months had circumstances change and they were unable to keep him. Alec retired last summer from a racing career in Florida (Naples, Flagler & Daytona Beach)- where he had a few 1st place wins. His sire was the famous Flying Penske, and his dam was DS Babe. Alec is going to need a very calm, quiet home with adults, a safely fenced backyard, and a confident canine companion. He is somewhat timid with strangers & new situations. He has a great appetite and enjoys treats of all kinds. He is currently living with cats, a medium mix breed dogs & greyhounds- he does well with all of them.

Alec was friendly and content at the track with the trainers he knew and loved. It may take a few weeks for him to warm up to a new family and new environment. He is starting to slowly warm up and follows his foster family from room to room but stays just out of reach most of the time. He is very quiet and never makes a peep. Alec also does well in his crate, itís his security blanket for now. We placed Alecís sister, DS Abby. Itís going to be very rewarding for the family who adopts Alec to watch him grow & gain confidence. He is a lover, and really wants to give his trust to someone special. Please donít let his shy persona deter you, Alec will be a loving, joyful companion when he gets used to his new environment. It will take a little patience and time for him to adjust, but the reward will be worth it to all of you!

Sherlock is a handsome young, brindle guy who is full of energy. He loves to run in the yard, and enjoys long walks in the woods. He is very, very curious and looks for opportunities to get into things whenever he can (like a big puppy). He needs a home with a fenced yard, and an active family who is going to spend lots of time with him. Sherlock is very happy, friendly & outgoing... His foster family has done a wonderful job with him. He's going to be an amazing pet for a special family.

Waverly is a sensitive soul.... She just retired from 106 races at Tri-State track in West Virginia. She needs a home with a fenced yard for security, and privacy to do her business. Waverly will also need another dog to keep her company & show her the ropes of retirement. She's a bit overwhelmed any time her leash is put on, but her foster family is teaching her that means getting to do fun things like going for car rides, and shopping for treats & stuffies. Right now Waverly loves cuddling in her Slumberball, bouncing around with toys at home, and lounging in the grass. Give this sweet, sleek lady time, and she'll give you the biggest heart around.
